The Wizard of Oz festival is back in historic downtown Chesterton, Indiana after being absent from our streets for three years. I love the Oz Fest! It’s always been one of my favorites and when it left my town, I boycotted it. To me, it’s a Chesterton tradition and I wasn’t partaking if it wasn’t in Chesterton.
As the festivities kicked of with the Oz parade, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Janet Davies. Davies, of the Chicago WLS news team, was the grand marshall of the parade. Her spirit and zeal were perfect as she led the procession through our Emerald city wearing a green jacket with a ruby red slippers pin on her lapel.
Thanks Janet for sharing your spirit, life, and laughter with Chesterton! There really is no place like Home!
